NWS STORM SURVEY
FLASH FLOOD
nws storm survey on december 7th found several neighborhoods with extensive mud, rock and water flooding. Debris line was up to 3 feet on mailboxes and eyewitnesses reported this depth. There were a couple homes with mud damage in leach canyon road. Entire streets had mud 6 to 18 inches deep with dozens of equipment actively removing mud and rocks on streets at the time of survey. This is related to the holy burn scar. Debris ran down grand avenue causing closures and up to the lake elsinore shoreline. Concrete channels for normal water flow were overwhelmed and overtopped with water and debris covering yards and private driveways.
